Riyadh: Dust-stirring winds and potentially heavy rain accompanied by hail are expected to hit several regions in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. The affected areas include Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, and the Northern Borders.
According to Saudi Press Agency, light to moderate rain is anticipated in parts of Riyadh, Qassim, and the Eastern Region, with fog possibly forming in these areas, as well as in Tabuk and Al-Jouf.
Winds over the Red Sea will vary in direction and speed: northerly to northwesterly at 12-35 km/h in the northern part, northwesterly to southwesterly at 12-32 km/h in the central part, and southeasterly to southwesterly at 15-60 km/h in the southern part. Thunderclouds could form in the central and southern parts, leading to wave heights over two meters, making the sea relatively calm to choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, northerly to northwesterly winds will prevail in the northern and central parts at 12-35 km/h, while southwesterly winds will reach 10-25 km/h in the southe
rn part. Waves are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with the sea remaining relatively calm.
