RIYADH: Dust-stirring winds and varied weather conditions are expected to affect several regions in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, potentially impacting daily activities. Key areas such as Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region are forecasted to experience significant winds, while other parts of the country may encounter rain and frost, according to meteorological predictions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that parts of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders regions will witness partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with possibilities of rain clouds and frost during the early morning hours. Additional rainfall is anticipated in Jazan and Aseer regions, bringing varying weather patterns across the nation.
The forecast also details wind conditions over the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf. In the northern and central parts of the Red Sea, winds are expected to be northeasterly to northerly, while the southern part will see a shift to northerly to northwesterly winds, with speeds ranging from 25-50 km/h. These conditions could lead to wave heights of one and a half to more than two meters, creating a relatively calm to choppy sea state.
Similarly, in the Arabian Gulf, northerly to northwesterly winds are projected to maintain speeds of 25-50 km/h. Wave heights are expected to reach between one and a half meters to two and a half meters, resulting in relatively choppy sea conditions. Mariners and residents in coastal areas are advised to exercise caution.
