Port McNeill:A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Port McNeill in British Columbia, western Canada, today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the U.S. Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and was centered 231 kilometers southwest of Port McNeill.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage following the quake.

This seismic event followed a previous magnitude 4.9 earthquake in the same area approximately two hours earlier.
