Riyadh: The Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia recently organized a Japanese Culinary Seminar aimed at culinary professionals. The event saw the participation of Hashem Nagro, Director of Event Development and Innovation at the Culinary Arts Commission, along with several chefs, managers of Japanese restaurants, and representatives from companies linked to the culinary sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Yasunari Morino, the Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia, conveyed his appreciation for the swift evolution in the Kingdom's culinary scene. He emphasized that the seminar's objective was to introduce elements of Japanese cuisine that could be seamlessly integrated into Saudi food culture.
The seminar featured an open discussion focused on fostering cooperation between Japanese and Saudi culinary practices. This collaboration aims to broaden the reach of authentic Japanese culinary traditions within Saudi Arabia. It also afforded professional chefs the chance to familiarize themselves with Japanese cooking techniques and flavors, encouraging them to contemplate how these could be incorporated into the local culinary landscape.
