Medina: The Roads General Authority has launched a mobile caravan initiative to support pilgrims and travelers on highways during the 1447 AH Hajj season. The initiative aims to provide field support for stranded vehicles and buses on the Hijrah Road linking Makkah and Madinah, as well as responding to emergency breakdowns and offering logistical services, including light meals, beverages, ablution areas, and air-conditioned rest stops for pilgrims.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the RGA affirmed that the roads sector is one of the key sectors supporting Hajj and Umrah, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow during the Hajj season and enhance road safety. It also noted that the Kingdom ranks first globally in road network connectivity, supporting the safe and smooth movement of pilgrims and advancing the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to strengthen the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub.
