Riyadh: The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey have issued a strong condemnation against the actions of Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The ministers criticized Ben-Gvir for his treatment of participants in the Gaza-bound flotilla while they were detained in Israel.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministers described Ben-Gvir's public humiliation of the detainees as a violation of human dignity and Israel's obligations under international law. They emphasized that such actions contravene both international humanitarian and human rights laws.
The ministers also expressed their disapproval of the incitement and violence by Ben-Gvir and other Israeli officials directed towards Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. They warned that these provocative actions hinder the advancement of peace efforts based on a two-state solution.
Furthermore, the ministers demanded accountability for Ben-Gvir's actions, calling for measures to stop his provocations and incitement. They stressed the importance of protecting human rights and ensuring the humane treatment of detainees, as well as adherence to international law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
