Four Saudis Advance to Quarterfinals at Arab Billiards, Snooker Championship 2024

In an impressive display of skill, Saudi pool players Khalid Al-Ghamdi, Mishari Al-Shamardal, and Rayan Al-Moubayed, and snooker player Ziyad Al-Qabbani, successfully advanced to the quarterfinals of the Arab Billiards and Snooker Championship 2024 on the tournament's inaugural day. The championship, hosted by the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation at the training center in Riyadh, boasts a lineup of 200 players representing 13 teams and will continue until October 17. Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation president Nasser Al-Shammari, along with several heads of participating Arab federations, attended the opening day of competitions. Al-Ghamdi, Al-Shamardal, and Al-Moubayed secured their quarterfinal berths of the competition with victories in the youth 9-Ball Billiards rounds. In snooker, Al-Qabbani earned his spot in the quarterfinals of the youth 15-Ball Snooker after claiming second place in his group. Furthermore, in the men's 9-Ball Billiards, six Saudi players advanced to the round of 16: Abd ulaziz Al-Amoudi, Mishari Al-Hazzaa, Faisal Al-Zahrani, Saad Aldrees, Ahmed Al-Jabbar, and Fahd Al-Dhuayan.
