New York:The Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) Foundation and UN Women have introduced a worldwide initiative to enhance women's roles in cybersecurity leadership. This effort aims to foster women's professional growth and their representation in decision-making positions, thereby developing female cybersecurity talent globally and improving cyber resilience.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative was announced during an international meeting organized by the GCF Foundation in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in New York and UN Women. This event took place alongside the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly and was inaugurated by Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdulaziz M. Alwasil, with several officials in attendance.

The initiative aligns with the strategic goals of the "Women Empowerment in Cybersecurity" global initiative, launched by Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The GCF Foundation is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the initiative's projects.

This effort aims to tackle the global shortage of specialized cybersecurity professionals and to keep up with the sector's rapid development, recognizing cybersecurity as a crucial component for success, growth, and prosperity in all industries.
