Hajj Security Forces Arrest Perpetrators Involved in 105 Fake Campaigns, 17615 People for Attempting to Perform Hajj without Permit

The Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, Lieutenant-General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, has announced that the Hajj security forces apprehended 17,615 individuals who attempted to perform Hajj without legal permits. Among these individuals, 9,509 violated residence, work, and border security regulations. Many individuals have also been arrested and referred to Public Prosecution for further action due to organizing 105 fake Hajj campaigns in various regions.

Meanwhile, the number of people, who are non-residents of Makkah, and have been denied entry into Makkah by the end of Friday, amounted to 202,695 individuals, in addition to 128,999 unauthorized vehicles. The authorities also arrested 33 individuals for illegally transporting people without legal Hajj permits. The culprits were referred to the seasonal administrative committees of the General Directorate of Passports.

Lieutenant-General Al-Bassami emphasized that the Hajj security forces have successfully implemented the security and organizational plans for Hajj with utmost efficiency and professionalism. They have been overseeing the movement of pilgrims between the holy sites and the Grand Mosque, ensuring their safety and facilitating their rituals over the past few days.
