Haramain High-Speed Railway Station in Madinah Sees Heavy Operational Activity in Service of Pilgrims

Madinah: Madinah continues to receive pilgrims arriving from the holy sites after completing Hajj rituals, supported by an integrated transportation system that has facilitated smooth movement between Makkah and Madinah. The system enables pilgrims to continue their spiritual journey with ease and tranquility as part of the efforts undertaken by various entities to serve pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Haramain High Speed Railway is among the most prominent transportation services facilitating pilgrims' travel after completing Hajj rituals. Through continuous operations, it connects Madinah with Makkah and the station serving King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, operating through a highly efficient transport system.

Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) Spokesperson Khalid Al-Farhan said the Haramain High Speed Railway station in Madinah is witnessing intensive operational activity as part of the Hajj season plan, with more than 80 train arrivals and departures recorded daily. He noted that these are part of more than 142 trips operated across the railway's network.

SAR previously announced the provision of more than 2.2 million seats on the Haramain High Speed Railway during the 1447 AH Hajj season as part of an operational plan aimed at facilitating pilgrims' movement between Makkah, Madinah, and the station serving King Abdulaziz International Airport.
