Health Ministry Advises Pilgrims to Use Umbrellas for Heat Protection During Hajj

Riyadh: The Ministry of Health has highlighted the use of umbrellas as a critical, preventative measure to protect pilgrims from high temperatures during the 1447 AH Hajj season. Health officials explained that carrying an umbrella serves as a highly effective barrier against major seasonal health risks, lowering the likelihood of heat exhaustion, sunstroke, and dehydration during transit between the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, beyond merely providing shade, proper umbrella use can reduce the ambient temperature for a pilgrim by up to 10 degrees Celsius, significantly lowering physical strain and helping pilgrims perform their rituals with safety, comfort, and peace of mind.
