Hochstein Engages in Diplomatic Talks at Grand Serail

Beirut: Prime Minister Najib Mikati is currently meeting at the Grand Serail with US envoy Amos Hochstein, in the presence of US Ambassador Lisa Johnson and the head of the ceasefire monitoring committee, US General Jasper Jeffers. This high-level meeting underscores the ongoing diplomatic efforts to ensure stability and security in Lebanon.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the US envoy and his accompanying delegation earlier visited House Speaker Nabih Berri at Ain El-Tineh Palace. During this visit, Hochstein pledged the continued commitment of the United States and the international community in supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces. This commitment is crucial as they work on implementing the ceasefire agreement, which aims to ensure security in the south and throughout Lebanon.

Hochstein emphasized that the withdrawals will persist until all Israeli forces are completely outside Lebanese territory. This statement highlights the significance of international cooperation in maintaining peace and security in the region, particularly at a time when the situation remains delicate. The ongoing diplomatic engagements reflect a concerted effort to uphold the ceasefire and promote stability in Lebanon.
