Riyadh: The holy sites are moving rapidly toward becoming a smart operational system that relies on modern technologies and advanced infrastructure through a series of projects implemented by Kidana Development Company, with the aim of enhancing operational efficiency, boosting safety, and improving the management of facilities and services provided to pilgrims.
According to Saudi Press Agency, among the most prominent of these projects is the third phase of the infrastructure rehabilitation project for the operational control center through the SCADA system, which enables real-time monitoring and immediate control of operational assets and facilities within the holy sites.
The project is considered one of the most significant technological transformation projects in the holy sites, as it links different operational systems and allows direct monitoring of electricity, cooling, water, and public utility networks, raising the level of readiness and response to faults and operational observations.
As part of enhancing safety and operational efficiency, Kidana implemented the fourth phase of the replacement and development project for fire and cooling networks inside non-developed tents through upgrading more than 32,000 linear meters of fire and cooling networks within Mina camps.
On the smart support services side, Kidana implemented the largest number of mobile phone charging stations within the Mashair path project, with 232 pillars equipped with the latest technologies to provide charging services for pilgrims in vital locations and movement routes.
