Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, presided over a Cabinet session in Jeddah. The Cabinet began the session by expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for the success of the 1447 AH Hajj season, where over 1.7 million pilgrims were able to perform their rituals smoothly, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's capability in crowd management and service delivery.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet appreciated the efforts of the Supreme Hajj Committee and related entities for their dedication. Their coordinated efforts were crucial in executing security, preventive, and service plans, ensuring pilgrims' safety from arrival to departure.
Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Acting Minister of Media, stated that the Cabinet reviewed recent discussions with various countries to bolster cooperation. This initiative aims to enhance bilateral relations and support international peace and stability.
The Cabinet welcomed the progress between the United States and Iran to end military operations, acknowledging Pakistan and Qatar's mediation. It highlighted Saudi Arabia's focus on restoring navigation freedom in the Strait of Hormuz to its pre-February 28 state, promoting regional and global security.
The Cabinet also noted Riyadh's selection as the site for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research's first cybersecurity office, reflecting the Kingdom's leadership in cybersecurity and its efforts to promote stability in cyberspace.
Furthermore, the Cabinet praised the International Monetary Fund's positive assessment of the Saudi economy, highlighting its resilience, economic reforms, and initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030. The achievements of the National Transformation Program in 2025 and the Human Capability Development Program were also commended.
In addition, the Cabinet issued several decisions, including authorizing ministers to engage in international agreements related to civil defense, driving licenses, customs cooperation, cultural exchanges, and health cooperation. These agreements involve countries such as Oman, Belarus, Pakistan, China, India, Kuwait, Germany, and Tajikistan.
The Cabinet ratified the Riyadh Design Law Treaty and approved a law regarding the management of seized and confiscated funds related to money laundering and terrorist financing crimes.
