Interior Ministry Announces SAR100,000 Fine for Assisting Visit Visa Holders in Makkah

Makkah: The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that a fine of up to SAR100,000 will be imposed on anyone who shelters holders of any type of visit visa in designated accommodations, including hotels, apartments, private residences, shelters, or pilgrim housing. This also applies to those who conceal them or provide assistance that allows them to remain in Makkah and the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the financial penalties will be effective from the first day of Dhu Al-Qadah until the end of Dhu Al-Hijjah 14. The fines will increase based on the number of violators who are assisted.

The ministry urges strict adherence to the regulations during the Hajj season to ensure safety and security. The public is encouraged to report any violations by dialing 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 999 in other parts of the Kingdom.
