Iraq, Austria Discuss Ways To Enhance Bilateral Relations And Joint Cooperation

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Technical Affairs, Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, discussed today, Monday, with a delegation from the Austrian Foreign Ministry headed by Sigrid Berka, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria for Administrative Affairs, ways to enhance relations between the two friendly countries, and aspects of joint cooperation.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Al-Dulaimi received at the ministry's headquarters, today, Monday, a delegation from the Austrian Foreign Ministry headed by Ambassador Sigrid Berka, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria for Administrative Affairs, accompanied by Ambassador Gerold Vollmer, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria for the Middle East and North Africa, and the Austrian Ambassador to Iraq, Andre Nasi.

The Undersecretary welcomed the Austrian delegation at the beginning of the meeting, praising its visit to Iraq. The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, and aspects of joint cooperation.

The Austrian delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the facilities it provided to reopen the Austrian embassy in Baghdad.

It is noteworthy that this visit comes one year after the reopening of the Austrian embassy in Baghdad.
