Islamic Affairs Ministry Handles Over 100,000 Sharia Inquiries in Umrah Season

Tunis:The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has addressed more than 100,000 Sharia-related inquiries during the first quarter of the 1448 AH Umrah season. This was achieved through a toll-free automated response service aimed at providing religious guidance in several languages.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the hotline (8002451000) offers automated responses in 15 languages, such as Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Indonesian, Filipino, Hausa, Bengali, and Hindi. It provides guidance on Umrah rulings and rituals and facilitates direct phone and video consultations with preachers during significant periods like Ramadan and Hajj.

This initiative underscores the ministry's commitment to leveraging modern technology to enhance Islamic awareness, promote moderation, and assist pilgrims in performing their rituals efficiently. These efforts align with the leadership's directives to improve services for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
