Riyadh: In preparation for the start of the new academic year, the Jazan Municipality has launched a series of community and field initiatives, including the distribution of more than 50,000 gifts to students as they return to school. The initiatives also feature awareness and field programs aimed at enhancing safety, public health, and the environment surrounding schools.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiatives include installing 510 welcome-back signs at various locations, as well as a media plan featuring more than 100 posts across the municipality's social media accounts and those of its affiliated municipalities.

The efforts also include enhancing traffic safety around 257 schools by providing the necessary safety measures and preparing the surrounding roads. In addition, the municipality is working to improve cleanliness and public health around 1,360 schools by intensifying cleaning operations and enhancing the surrounding environment.
