Jazan: Jazan Region has established itself as Saudi Arabia's primary hub for tropical fruit production, driven by the region's favorable natural and climatic conditions, government support, and the efforts of local farmers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the region leads national mango production with over one million trees yielding approximately 65,000 tons annually, representing nearly 60% of total national output. It also hosts more than 800,000 papaya trees producing over 40,000 tons annually, over one million banana trees yielding around 15,000 tons annually, more than 6,000 guava trees producing nearly 60 tons, and over 4,200 custard apple trees yielding more than 42 tons annually.

These figures reflect an integrated agricultural ecosystem built on modern farming practices and improved production efficiency.

To further develop this sector, a tropical fruits and greenhouses project was launched in Jazan with investments exceeding SAR600 million across two million square meters, aimed at boosting production capacity and applying modern farming technologies in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
