Jeddah Historic District Program Showcases at World Travel Market 2024 in London.

Jeddah: The Jeddah Historic District Program, part of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture, participates in the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 in London. This engagement supports the program’s mission to elevate historic Jeddah as an international tourism destination.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the 43rd annual WTM exhibition, the program spotlights the unique heritage landmarks of the Jeddah Historic District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the district’s historic architecture, mosques, bustling markets, public spaces, museums, heritage restaurants, and other cultural landmarks.

Through its destination management initiatives, the program also promotes various authentic tourism experiences in the district. These include stays in heritage hotels restored and revitalized by the program, immersive tours that explore the area’s history and cultural traditions, and hands-on participation in local crafts and arts. Visitors are invited to savour traditional local cuisine, enriching thei
