Jordanian King Abdullah II stressed today, Wednesday, that his country will not be an arena for regional conflicts, pointing out the Kingdom's keenness to exert all efforts with brotherly and friendly countries to restore stability in the Middle East region, and find a political horizon for the Palestinian issue. The Jordanian monarch called, during his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour, to reduce escalation in the region, warning that the continuation of killing and destruction will keep the region hostage to violence and expand the conflict. He also stressed the need to stop the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon as a first step towards calm, and the importance of strengthening the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, and ensuring the arrival of relief aid to reduce the humanitarian disaster.
