First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praised the great care accorded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the youth and sport movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa asserted that HM the King’s Football Cup reflects the tremendous royal support to sport, in general, and football, in particular. He noted the glorious history of the competition since its launch in 1977-1978 season. He expressed most sincere thanks and appreciation to National Guard Commander, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Deputy patron of the crowning ceremony, for crowning Al-Hala Club as winners of the King’s Cup this year.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated Al-Hala Club on clinching the trophy, which reflects the efforts made by the club’s Board of Directors, the players as well as the technical and administrative staff throughout the championship. He wished the club, which was crowned for the third time in its history, further achievemnts and second place winners, Al-Ahli Club, every success in the upcoming championships.
