King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve: Haven of Rich Vegetation, Unique Biodiversity

Riyadh: The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and rich natural environment, encompassing a wide range of distinctive ecosystems and landscapes, with diverse vegetation spread across valleys, ravines, plains, and mountains among its most prominent features.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the reserve's vegetation comprises deep-rooted perennial trees capable of withstanding drought and harsh desert conditions, along with medium-sized, densely branched woody shrubs that provide important grazing resources and help stabilize the soil.

The reserve's development authority is working to preserve these integrated environmental assets, expand vegetation cover, combat desertification, and increase green spaces through ongoing afforestation and rehabilitation initiatives.
