Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi today lead the Kingdom’s delegation to the G20 Labor and Employment Ministers’ Meeting, held in Indore, India. Besides labor and employment ministers of the G20 member states, heads of international and regional organizations and representatives of civil society organizations from various other countries take part in the meeting as well.
Al-Rajhi affirmed the Kingdom's support for the Indian presidency, which focus on important issues, including addressing the global skills gap, liberal economy, sharing economy platforms, social protection and sustainable financing of social security, adding that these priorities have a tangible and continuous impact on labor and employment issues.
Al-Rajhi also presented the Kingdom's approach to issues like skills, human resources development and comprehensive social protection for workers, saying that it pays special consideration to modern work patterns. He also talked about the Kingdom’s most prominent initiatives and programs, including the sectoral skills councils initiative, skills accelerator, the self-employment portal, achievements pertaining to these initiatives and the important impact they have on the Saudi labor market.
