KSGAAL to Introduce New Language Projects at Hajj Conference

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) is set to participate in the sixth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, which begins on November 8. KSGAAL will feature a pavilion dedicated to showcasing its language projects and initiatives related to Hajj and Umrah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, KSGAAL plans to unveil three specialized projects during the exhibition. These include a language assessment test specifically designed for Hajj and Umrah contexts, an Arabic for Hajj and Umrah textbook as part of the Arabic for Specific Purposes series aimed at developing practical communication skills, and an updated edition of the Hajj and Umrah terminology dictionary.

The updated dictionary, developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, includes 488 Arabic entries with translations into English, French, Persian, Turkish, Malay, and Urdu. This results in a total of more than 3,400 entries across these languages.

These projects are intended to enhance communication and language services for pilgrims and those assisting them during Hajj and Umrah.
