King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement yesterday with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to enhance sanitation services for the displaced population and host community in Marib Governorate, Yemen. With a total budget of $2.25 million, the agreement was signed by Advisor to the Royal Court and KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and IOM Director General Amy Pope, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The agreement aims to improve access to safe sanitation facilities and waste management services for the displaced population and host community in Marib Governorate. It includes the construction of 200 household latrines, the reconstruction of 600 cesspits, and the provision of waste management equipment. These efforts will result in safer and healthier living conditions for 47,598 people directly and 137,580 people indirectly. This agreement is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arab ia's ongoing efforts, through KSrelief, to support the brotherly Yemeni people, provide them with a decent living, and advance the water and environmental sanitation sector.
