Kuwait city: Kuwait welcomed the statement issued by the members of the UN Security Council, which condemned the missile attacks launched by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia since July 13, and the attacks against commercial vessels since July 22.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait's full appreciation for the statement's emphasis on the need to uphold international law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.
It also welcomed the call to respect the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Yemen, and to reject actions that threaten regional security and the rights and freedoms of maritime navigation.
Kuwait reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and security. It also reaffirmed its support for the legitimate Yemeni government and for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General's special envoy for Yemen to achieve peace, security, and stability in Yemen.
