Madinah: The Al Madinah Region Development Authority is participating in the 14th annual Expo and the World Congress of Smart Cities (CEWC24) being held in Barcelona, Spain, from November 5 to 7, marking its third participation in the annual global event.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority’s representatives will deliver keynote speeches and participate in high-level panel sessions at the global gathering, where the “Madinah” pavilion will be erected, showcasing the city’s leadership in implementing human-centered, smart, and sustainable city concepts. The pavilion highlights the authority’s role in adopting advanced smart practices to improve residents’ quality of life and enrich visitors’ experiences.

The Madinah pavilion will also highlight award-winning, innovative solutions in the field of smart cities, including the City Experiences Guide-the world’s first comprehensive guide to urban experiences and innovation. It will feature two national platforms, Raseel for smart cities and Manarah fo
r urban data, along with the LoRaWAN-enabled smart lighting network and the 3D geospatial information system for modeling at the Prophet’s Mosque.
