The talks focused on Singapore's expertise in municipal waste management and its possible application to enhance waste management practices in Makkah. Among the key topics discussed were modern waste management technologies employed in Singapore, which could help improve the system in Makkah. The conversation also touched on raising food safety standards for pilgrims, particularly by moving away from traditional meal preparation methods and enhancing the quality and safety of street food. The goal is to ensure that pilgrims receive healthy, safe meals during their stay. In addition to waste management and food safety, the discussions included exploring opportunities to attract Singaporean investments in various sectors in Makkah, with a particular emphasis on education and healthcare.
