Mariana Islands in Pacific Ocean Struck by 5.2 Magnitude Earthquake

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck the coasts of the Northern Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean today.

The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred 463.8 kilometers from the capital, Saipan, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

No human or material losses from the earthquake have been reported so far.
