Islamabad:The Transport General Authority (TGA), in cooperation with the National Maritime Academy (NMA), has introduced an English Test Platform specifically for maritime sector personnel. This new platform is designed to evaluate proficiency in specialized maritime English and to enhance language skills in accordance with the sector's operational needs.

According to Saudi Press Agency, The TGA has announced that passing the English language test via this platform will become mandatory for all relevant groups beginning in 2027. This initiative aims to standardize the criteria for language proficiency assessments, improve workforce readiness, and develop skills necessary to meet the maritime sector's demands.

This effort is part of a broader collaboration between the TGA and NMA to cultivate human capital and qualify personnel according to maritime work standards. The overarching goal is to boost performance efficiency and elevate the standards of professional practice within the industry.
