Minister Of Interior: No Mercy For Drug Dealers And Drug Users…Stresses The Importance Of Intensifying Efforts To End Corruption In All Its Forms

The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, affirmed that there is no mercy for drug dealers and drug users, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts to end corruption in all its forms.

Al-Shammari also stressed, during his visit to Salah al-Din Governorate, and his meeting, with the presence of the governor, with security leaders and the head of the governorate’s appeals court, the importance of the role of the judiciary in supporting the security forces.

He pointed out that without the judiciary, security cannot be controlled, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts to end corruption in all its forms, especially during the investigation of various cases.

He called on the judiciary to hold accountable any officer or affiliate suspected of corruption, stressing his full readiness to take the necessary immediate measures against those proven to be corrupt in a particular matter.

Al-Shammari confirmed that Salah al-Din governorate will receive special reinforcements, indicating that there is a security threat that must be confronted, which is the scourge of drugs, which is more dangerous than terrorism, and this file will be dealt with in a way that limits the spread of trade and abuse of drugs and psychotropic substances, and there is no mercy for those who trade or abuse these toxins. He added that there are great efforts to establish forced asylums for drug abusers.

The minister praised the intelligence effort in Salah al-Din governorate, which is considered one of the safe governorates, stressing that the next stage will be security in the hands of the police forces in city centers, explaining that a major campaign will be implemented to withdraw unlicensed weapons, especially medium and heavy weapons.

The minister directed full cooperation with the citizens and gaining their trust, especially in the police stations, indicating that there is a plan to restructure the joints of the police forces in Samarra district, reiterating his support for the police leadership of Salah al-Din Governorate.
