Municipalities Minister: Saudi Pavilion at World Urban Forum Embodies Urban, Housing Transformation under Vision 2030

Baku: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail stated that the Saudi pavilion at the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan, highlights the Kingdom's urban development experience, housing achievements, and significant transformation under Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during his statement at the opening of the Saudi pavilion, Al-Hogail emphasized the qualitative transformation of Saudi cities, making them more people-centered. He remarked on the launch of the Saudi Architecture Map by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which signifies a shift towards reconnecting cities with their architectural heritage.

Al-Hogail pointed out that developmental housing stands as one of the Kingdom's prominent success stories, with over 50,000 families gaining homeownership in a short timeframe. He also mentioned the support programs available for families and eligible groups.

The minister further highlighted the inclusion of eight Saudi cities in the IMD Smart City Index 2026 and the accession of 16 cities to the Healthy Cities initiative. These achievements reflect enhanced quality of life in Saudi cities and underscore the strength of the Kingdom's digital transformation and urban planning efforts.
