Muslim World League Denounces Iranian Assault on Saudi Tanker SIDR

Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the Iranian attack on the Saudi tanker SIDR while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz, as well as Iranian attacks targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued by the league's General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa renewed his condemnation of the Iranian attacks, saying they violate all religious values, international laws and norms, and humanitarian principles. He stressed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait in all measures they take to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and national assets.

Al-Issa extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to the families of the crew members who died in the attack on the tanker SIDR.
