National Center for Falcons Auction Achieves SAR168,000 in Sales

Riyadh:Two juvenile peregrine falcons were auctioned for a total of SAR168,000 on the 13th night of the National Center for Falcons Auction 2026. The event is organized by the center and will continue until November 30, drawing significant interest from falconry enthusiasts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the first juvenile peregrine falcon was sold for SAR111,000, with bidding beginning at SAR50,000. The auction concluded with the sale of the second juvenile peregrine, which was presented by seven falconers, for SAR57,000.

The auction is exclusively for migratory juvenile peregrine falcons caught within the Kingdom, purposefully excluding mature peregrine falcons and saker falcons to support sustainability and preservation efforts. The center is accepting locally caught falcons over a two-month period, with auction nights broadcast on television and social media to engage falconers and enthusiasts.

The National Center for Falcons offers a variety of services to falconers during the falcon-catching season. This includes welcoming falcon owners from different regions and facilitating their accommodation and transportation to the auction venue. Each falcon is showcased in a live, competitive auction, which is broadcast on television channels and the center's social media platforms.
