Riyadh, September 11, 2022, SPA — National Center for Archives and Records (NCAR) will participate in the annual International Council on Archives Conference, to be held in Rome, Italy, from 19 to 23 September this year. The center’s delegation will be headed by its Director General, Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, and the membership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), King Fahad National Library, King Abdulaziz Public Library among others.
The annual conference’s agenda for this year focuses on discussing issues of interest to archivists around the world and trying to shed light on the experiences of countries in investing the information and knowledge wealth contained in their national archives that contribute to strengthening local culture and national belonging. The conference also discusses digital archives and what information technology can provide of services that contribute to upgrading the course of archival work.
The International Council on Archives is an international, non-governmental and non-profit organization that is concerned with archives and addresses archivists around the world.
