OIC Media Observatory Report Records Increase in Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Media Observatory recorded 26 massacres, most concentrated in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in 316 martyrs and 1155 wounded during the period from October 15-21, 2024.

A report issued by the OIC elaborated that Israel has tightened a closed circle of genocide in the northern Gaza Strip, starting with the Jabalia refugee camp, which was subjected to numerous massacres and is currently undergoing a forced displacement process. The mentioned period witnessed a concentration of Israeli crimes in Jabalia camp, where several schools were bombed, including a school belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) that was sheltering displaced people. Fifty Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces bombed the Al-Hawajri family homes, culminating in the forced displacement of Palestinians from the camp under the threat of weapons.

In Beit Lahia, according to the report, Israeli occupation forces killed 73 Palestinians and bom
bed and raided the tents of displaced people around the Indonesian Hospital, leading to the burning of the hospital’s generators as part of a plan to further displace the displaced people hiding in its vicinity. Schools in Al-Shati refugee camp and northern Gaza Strip were also bombed and burned, in addition to an inhabited house in Tal Al-Hawa, resulting in the martyrdom of 8 Palestinians.

Al-Aqsa Mosque was subjected to almost daily incursions, with a total of 3522 extremists entering. Israeli forces closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to Palestinian worshipers in the city of Hebron to enable settlers to perform their Talmudic prayers there.

The report revealed that Israeli forces killed six Palestinians in the West Bank during the week, wounded 39 others, and arrested 146 Palestinians. They also demolished five houses in Jerusalem, Salfit, and Jericho, burned three houses in Nablus, and occupied four houses in Tulkarm and Jenin, turning them into military barracks. Israeli forces demolished a commercial facility
in Jerusalem, a gas station in Nablus, and a sheep pen in Tubas. Settlers burned two poultry farms and a residential room in Yatta, Hebron, while Israeli forces confiscated 26,944 dunums of land from the village of Jaba’ by military order to establish a buffer zone around the Adam Settlement.

Regarding the systematic Israeli campaign against the olive harvest season in the West Bank, the observatory recorded 50 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers on farmers in 37 Palestinian villages, preventing them from harvesting olives. Additionally, 27 olive trees were uprooted in Deir Ballut in Salfit, their branches were broken and burned in Burqa and Jalud in Nablus, and agricultural lands were vandalized in Nahhalin in Bethlehem. The number of attacks on agricultural lands in the West Bank reached 70, including the theft of olive crops in three villages in Hebron and Nablus and the closure of roads leading to agricultural lands in Kafr Al-Dik in Salfit.

The total number of settler attacks on Palestinian villages
during the mentioned period reached 59 in the villages of Qusra and Jalud in Nablus. The week witnessed four settlement activities, most of which involved the establishment of mobile homes and tents and the furrowing of roads on Palestinian lands. The total number of Israeli crimes during the period from October 15-21, 2024, reached 2450 crimes in all Palestinian areas. The total number of martyrs from October 7, 2023, to October 20, 2024, reached 43,362, and the number of wounded reached 106,045.
