Manama, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Dr. Amgad Elmahdi, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and the GCF on climate adaptation projects. The minister commended the GCF's role in supporting various efforts to address climate challenges, mitigate their impacts, and enhance adaptation strategies. He expressed pride in the achievements of the Enhancing climate resilience of the water sector in Bahrain project, which has contributed to advancing the water sector, building national technical and institutional capacities, raising public awareness, and developing flexible and viable environmental and investment solutions.
