Oil futures fell by more than 2 % at settlement on Wednesday, affected by a decline in crude oil inventories in the United States. The US Energy Information Administration announced on Wednesday that crude oil inventories in the United States fell more than expected last week. In a statement today, it said that crude oil inventories fell by 4.5 million barrels during the week ending September 20, after falling by 1.6 million barrels in the previous week, while expectations were for inventories to fall by 1.2 million barrels last week.
