Khulais:The Consulate General of the Philippines in Jeddah took part in a volunteer tree-planting initiative in Khulais Governorate. This effort is a component of the National Greening Season, currently active in multiple regions of the Kingdom. The campaign aims to bolster the objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative by enhancing vegetation cover and restoring degraded lands.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Philippine Consul General Rommel Romato, along with around 100 members of the Filipino community, participated in the campaign. Volunteers engaged in planting saplings and trees at a local park, emphasizing community-led efforts towards afforestation.

The initiative seeks to promote environmental protection by encouraging both citizens and residents to actively partake in enhancing green spaces. The involvement of the Filipino community highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving sustainable environmental goals.
