Riyadh: The sixth edition of the Rahat Seasonal Date Market in Al-Jumum Governorate is attracting a large number of residents, visitors, and agricultural enthusiasts, reflecting growing interest in locally produced dates and the region's rich agricultural heritage.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Saud Al-Ruqi, one of the organizers of the annual Rahat Date Market, said the event features 22 exhibitors, including local farmers and date producers. He added that approximately seven tons of dates were sold during the market's first three days of operation.

The market provides an opportunity to showcase the region's agricultural identity, with many visitors eager to learn about the date varieties for which Rahat is renowned, as well as the traditional cultivation and farming practices behind them.

The market's continued popularity supports the local economy by providing a platform for farmers to market their crops, stimulating related commercial and service activities, and creating broader opportunities for farmers to reach consumers more effectively.
