LIV Golf revealed details for the second annual LIV Golf Promotions Tournament, giving elite players from around the world a chance to secure their place in the league and the International Series for 2025.
The championship will take place from December 12 to 14 at Riyadh Golf Club and will consist of four rounds over three days, including 36 holes on the final day. The first-place winner will secure a spot in the LIV Golf League for the next season, while the top 10 players, including ties, will earn direct entry to all 2025 events in the International Series, as approved by the Asian Tour. The tournament winner will receive a prize of $1.5 million, heightening the excitement and competitiveness to unprecedented levels.
LIV Golf chief executive Greg Norman explained that the tournament comprises four rounds of 18 holes, with qualification standards advancing the leaders through the first two rounds. The top 20 players from the first round will move on to the second, where scores will reset, joined by play
ers who qualify directly. From there, the top 20 players after the second round will proceed to the final round with another score reset to compete in a 36-hole round. The winner will receive a prize of $200,000 and a primary spot in the LIV Golf League for 2025.
Leading the lineup is American golfer John Catlin, who participated as an alternate in six LIV Golf events last season. Catlin holds the top ranking on the entry list, having won the Macau Championship under the International Series and finishing as runner-up in two other tournaments.
