Riyadh: Deputy Minister of Culture for International Cultural Relations Eng. Fahd Al-Kanaan engaged in discussions with Brazil’s Minister of Culture Margareth Menezes, aiming to enhance cultural cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Brazil. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 5th G20 Culture Ministers’ Meeting, which served as a platform for cultural diplomacy and collaboration.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Kanaan conveyed the greetings of Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan to Menezes, extending congratulations on Brazil’s new role as the G20 presidency. He appreciated Menezes’ dedication to fostering cultural initiatives and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for Brazil’s cultural objectives. Al-Kanaan also lauded the significant contributions of Brazilian artists to Saudi cultural events, underscoring the burgeoning cultural relationship between the two nations.
The discussions centered around strengthening cultural cooperation, particularly focusing on key areas such
as performing arts, museums, and cultural exchange. This dialogue builds upon the foundation laid by the 2019 memorandum of understanding, indicating a commitment to expanding and deepening cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
