Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Aggression Against Kuwait and Neighboring States

Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strongest condemnation and denunciation of the attacks targeting a number of Kuwaiti border posts and an offshore drilling platform belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company, as well as the attacks targeting the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Basra and two Emirati oil tankers while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, in addition to Iran's continued threats to the security and stability of the region through its attacks targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom reiterates its categorical rejection of Iran's violations of the sovereignty of these brotherly countries and its continued destabilizing conduct that undermines the security and stability of the region, in violation of the principles of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, the Charter of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the principles of good-neighborliness.

The Kingdom holds Iran responsible for the consequences of its continued blatant attacks and calls on Iran to immediately cease these violations to preserve the security, stability, and safety of the region. The Kingdom further reiterates its full solidarity with the brotherly countries in all measures they take to safeguard their sovereignty.
