President of the General Court of Audit and Second Deputy Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari participated in the 78th meeting of the INTOSAI Executive Council, which was held yesterday in Cairo, Egypt.

Al-Anqari presented a report on the key activities of INTOSAI’s Policy, Finance, and Administration Committee, as its Chair, and the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation Steering Committee (IDSC), where he serves as INTOSAI’s lead representative. The report highlighted the roles of both committees in achieving the objectives of the organization’s strategic plan.

The meeting also included a review and discussion of several topics and reports, mainly the executive council president’s report on the organization’s activities, the General Secretariat’s report on its financial and administrative status, and several reports from heads of strategic goal committees, including the Capacity Building Committee and the Professional Standards Committee.
Moreover, reports were presented on the INTOSAI Development Initiative and the regional organizations affiliated with INTOSAI.

INTOSAI aims to support its members in 195 countries to effectively oversee the public sector and promote transparency and good governance.
