Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has notched two more achievements at the World Masters Athletics Championships (WMAC), with Sarah Al Helal winning bronze in the heptathlon and Mohammed Al Qaree securing silver in the pole vault at WMAC Daegu 2026 in the Republic of Korea.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al Helal finished third in the heptathlon with 3,856 points, earning a place on the global podium and adding another medal to Saudi Arabia's record in masters athletics championships.

In the pole vault, Al Qaree claimed silver after clearing 3.40 meters to finish second and secure another podium finish for Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi masters athletics team continues its participation in the championships, which have brought together around 7,476 athletes from 106 countries. Including officials and accompanying personnel, total participation exceeds 11,000 people.
