Almaty: The Saudi national jiu-jitsu team is set to showcase its talents at the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan, which will take place from July 13 to 19. The team will compete across four age categories: seniors, under-16, under-18, and under-21.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi team will feature 28 athletes. The senior category is represented by Abdulmalik Al-Mardhi, Mohammed bin Huraymil, Issa Al-Shumaysani, Osama Saleh, Ahmed Al-Eisa, and Omar Nada. In the under-21 squad, competitors include Mohammed Al-Ahmadi, Bassam Fallata, Abdulrahman Hannawi, Adam Fernando, Abdullah Nada, Hussein Al-Yami, and Sultana Al-Dosari.

The under-18 group consists of Jamal Jahlan, Naif Al-Juhani, Malik Al-Shehaib, Mohammed Al-Mayouf, Khalid Habbab, Waleed Al-Haidari, Elias Banjar, Abdulrahman Faqih, and Omar bin Mahfouz. Meanwhile, the under-16 competitors are Sultan Mallas, Hashem Idris, Abdulrahman Barnji, Sultan Bahebri, Hadeel Qadaha, and Abdulrahman Al-Mayouf.

The team has been preparing rigorously with an intensive training program conducted in Jeddah. This training is aimed at enhancing both the technical skills and physical readiness of the athletes as they head into the competition.
