Saudi Arabia Urges Immediate Ceasefire and Humanitarian Aid Access in Sudan.

Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s concern over the continued fighting in Sudan and the escalation of violence against civilians, including women and children. In this context, the Kingdom condemns the recent events in the eastern part of Al-Jazirah State, which resulted in civilian casualties and injuries, constituting a violation of international law and the principle of civilian protection.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom calls for the commitment and fulfillment of what was agreed upon in the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023, and urges the warring parties to ceasefire, end the conflict, and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected. The Kingdom renews its firm position in supporting Sudan’s stability and preserving the unity of its legitimate institutions, sovereignty, and independence, stressing that a political solution is the only path to end the crisis in Sudan.
