Chairman of the Saudi Media Forum and CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthy has announced the launch of the Forum Award’s new edition for 2025. This initiative supports and empowers the creative media industry, aiming to stimulate high-quality work that enhances Saudi media.
Al-Harthy noted that the award targets media institutions, journalists, and content creators. As part of the forum’s mission to enrich and promote creativity, this year’s edition includes new tracks to address the diverse needs of the media sector and related industries. He emphasized the organizing committee’s commitment to diversifying tracks and adapting to evolving fields in media and communication.
Among the newly introduced fields is an award for the most popular digital content, which involves public voting to reflect the impact of widely shared digital media. Another track focuses on promoting tolerance through digital media, in collaboration with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center
for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, to foster tolerance and cultural openness within Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Media Forum Award encompasses several categories, including journalism, with tracks in data journalism, reporting, journalistic articles, and field journalism. Non-journalistic media categories include television programs, dialogue podcast programs, and academic research in media. The award also invites participation from the public and private sectors in communication and public relations through integrated media campaigns. Additionally, special awards will recognize the Personality of the Year, Best Digital Content, Editorial Column, and Best Use of Digital Media for Promoting Tolerance.
The award submission window opens in the last week of November, welcoming entries from passionate individuals across the media industry. Winners will be announced during the Saudi Media Forum, scheduled for February in Riyadh.
