The Saudi Mining Polytechnic Institute, in the Northern Border Region, earned gold in the Government Sustainability Initiative category of the Gulf Sustainability Awards for its Smart Garden Project, which was inaugurated by Governor of the Northern Borders Region Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.

The project aligns with the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative by providing digital solutions that support the smart green environment with the purpose of saving water and analyzing and improving soil quality.
